Mr Seth Phalatse currently serves as Non-Executive Director on the Boards of

He is also the Non-Executive Chairman for

1. Institute for Global Dialogue, a research institute that promotes international cooperation and policy analysis on the changing political environment in South Africa.

2. Da Vinci Holdings – An institute for technology management accredited by the Department of Education as a private higher education institute

3. Ritz Pumps South Africa – A joint venture company with Ritz Pumps Germany that manufactures pumps for the dewatering of mines, sewage and dams.

Mr Phalatse is also the Deputy President of the Southern African German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Gugu Khumalo

Gugu Khumalo obtained her Masters Degree in Science Education from the University of Durban Westville in 2001. She’s served as an Educator for the Botswana Department of Education teaching Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences and Mathematics in senior secondary schools for 16 years before becoming the Head of the Science Department.

Before joining Scilabs, Gugu served as the Deputy Director in Sciences for Curriculum Grade 10-12 for the Department of Education KwaZulu-Natal from 2004 to 2014. After being appointed by Professor Kadar Asmal to head the Curriculum Development team in 2006, she developed and produced the new curriculum for the Grade 10-12 Life Sciences which was then implemented throughout the country.

Gugu’s impressive CV, also includes writing and publishing 10 science text books for junior secondary school science level – four books in Botswana published by Heinemann United Kingdom and six books in South Africa published by Shooter and Shuter. The books are currently used nationally and internationally.

Nilesh Jaichun

Nilesh Jaichun is one of the most respected figures in the legal fraternity, earning his law degree from the University of KwaZulu Natal. He started his career establishing his own and very successful law practice, offering expertise across a wide spectrum of legal disciplines.

Renowned for his excellent business acumen & entrepreneurial skills, Nilesh is the brand’s primary advocate & nurturer. He brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience in the corporate world & has demonstrated the power of youthful tenacity & innovation that goes with entrepreneurship. Nilesh holds a degree in B.IURIS LLB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).

Thabo Mpama

Thabo Mpama’s career spans both human resources and the IT sectors. He earned recognition during his tenure at Marconi Communications as the Human Resources and Corporate Affairs Director. Thabo also held the role of Chairman for the ISETT SETA and was Group Vice President for Human Resources International and a board member of African Telecommunications Cables (ATC).

Monwabisi Ludonga

Monwabisi Ludonga holds a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) and Management Advancement Programme from WITS business school. He has been instrumental in developing a strategy for the first Next Generation Network in Africa and has sold the first FTTH technology in Africa (Uganda). He has further sold and rollout the second biggest Point-Multipoint radio technology in the world (Kenya) Spanning his career, Monwabisi has held top managerial and executive director positions in African Access ICT, IST, Marconi Communications, Lucent Technologies, Alcatel Altech Telecom and the Transkei Broadcasting Corporation.
